Ingredients:
- 3 slices bacon
- 5 cups coarsely chopped cabbage
- ½ cup water
- salt
- cayenne
Instructions:
In a large heavy skillet cook the bacon over moderate heat, until crisp, transfer it to paper towels to drain, and crumble. Pour off all but 2 tablespoons of the fat from the skillet and heat over moderately high heat the until hot. Add the cabbage and saute it, stirring, for 5 to 8 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender, and stir in the bacon and salt and cayenne to taste. <br />
